Day Ten - Mixed bag of awesomeness

Started the day with bacon and eggs in the room. Craig and I went out separately this morning - he venturing over the Burrard Bridge to Kitsilano with Andrea, Tom and Daniel looking for snowboard gear - I went into town to the Pacific Centre with Ress, Ant and Rach looking for thermals. I then went back to our hotel to meet up with Craig before heading to the Vancouver Christmas Market where we were going to meet up with my lovely phile friend Carmen (from Germany) - it is crazy to me that we both had to come around the world to meet each other in Vancouver. The Vancouver Christmas Market is a gorgeous little German market in the heart of downtown Vancouver. Hearing Carmen do what she does best live, was nothing short of amazing. :-) Craig and I had gluhwein - and got to keep some gorgeous little mugs that we can take home. We then went down to Gastown and had poutine at 'The pub where Pendrell got shot' (aka Lamplighters Pub) and took a couple of other shots along the way. Getting to spend some time with Carmen in an X-Files location, sharing stories about our favourite show and people is just so lovely. And all going well we will get to meet up tomorrow hopefully.

We then caught the seabus/bus up to the Capilano Suspension Bridge.  I was so happy that we got the opportunity to visit this attraction this time around. The bridge is fun, and the treetops adventure is just gorgeous - there is also the canyon walk, which for me, was a little bit scary!

Is so great, but it was freaking cold - I think as we were leaving there it was -3.

We then caught the bus/seabus back downtown and had A&W together before walking back up Granville to our respective hotels. We got in and sat in the lobby and about 15 minutes later Sam and Ian arrived. Our group is finally complete!!! We are now sitting down in the hotel lobby having a few quiet beverages. ;-)

Getting up early for our last full day in Vancouver.

Yay Carmen!
