Day Three - Sightseeing and Surprises

After a late wakeup after watching the hockey the previous night, we decided that it would be best to just have a 'sightseeing day' - Heading up Whistler mountain and boarding the 'Peak to Peak' Gondola, which we have not had the chance to ride before as it was built after we last visited. Tourists, if you get a chance, make sure you get in the glass bottom gondola... it is kinda scary that you are hanging above the valley by just a cable. The journey takes about 15 minutes to go across from Whistler to Blackcomb (and vice versa) - and the views are to die for. We went across to Blackcomb mountain and walked around a bit before heading back across to the Roundhouse lodge on Whistler Mountain and heading out to the Inukshuck that overlooks Whistler Mountain. Heading down to a nice snowy area, Craig was setting up the video camera for what I thought was just some mountain footage or a video diary - to my complete and utter surprise - he came back to me, hand in pocket and said 'Sandi, I know it's been a long time coming - Will you Marry Me?' - 'Are you serious?' - Yeah great response Sandi. Long story short, we are now engaged!!!! He had a gorgeous little video for me of ring shopping and the search that came down to my gorgeous ring. Baby, you did well.  We then went down the lodge and had some lunch at the Spaghetti Factory before exploring the village that we love so much. Went and made some phone calls to Craig's family and my family - and then called Leigh and Cory and headed 'Home' for an early night and to pack as we were heading down to Vancouver the next day. We told Leigh and Cory that we were engaged (yay) and then I posted on Facebook as I thought that was the quickest and best way to announce it to the world (and of course, the cheapest). We couldn't keep up with the notifications - so thank you so much everyone for your well wishes - we are both very excited, and appreciate your messages so much!
